Understanding CHS
Learn what Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS) is, recognize the symptoms, understand why it happens, and discover the path toward recovery.
What IS Cannabis Hyperemesis Syndrome-(CHS)?
Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS) is a condition that can develop in some people who use cannabis regularly over a long period of time. It is characterized by repeated episodes of severe nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and an unusual tendency to seek relief through hot showers or hot baths.
Although cannabis is often known for reducing nausea, long-term use can have the opposite effect in some individuals. Researchers are still working to fully understand why this happens, but CHS is now recognized by healthcare professionals worldwide.
